What is Powerlifting?

The magic and beauty of Powerlifting is that anyone can do it!

Powerlifting is a strength sport that consists of three attempts at maximal weight on three lifts: squat, bench press, and deadlift.  During a competition, each competitor is allowed three attempts on each the squat, bench press, and deadlift.  The lifter's best valid attempt on each lift counts toward the competition total. 

The CrossFit Enforce Powerlifting Club will be a dedicated program for 9 weeks capped with an in-house competition on Saturday, May 7th.

  • Dates: Tuesdays & Thursdays
    • Part 1: March 7 - March 30
    • Break: April 4 - April 6
    • Part 2: April 11 - May 4
    • Competition - May 7
  • Time: 7:15 - 8:30pm

A fun and effective way for you to increase strength!

The goal of powerlifting is to recruit as much musculature as possible to perform the move, rather than isolating an individual muscle group. 

Each Tuesday or Thursday will provide opportunities to practice technique to coordinate your movements to utilize all contributing muscle groups to produce as much force as possible.

Additionally, accessory movements will be programmed to correct imbalances in strength.  

CrossFit Enforce members will use Saturday BBC to focus on accessories building on top of the powerlifting programming.
